Adromischus cristatus var cristatus
Again this species is highly variable with many forms from many geographic areas. Adromischus cristatus var. cristatus is a real beauty with short but wide leaves with a great frill like a crimped pie crust along its top edge It does in time make a small branched shrub or a great looking Bonsai specimen it is slow growing The species cristatus mostly has great hairy stems (aerial roots) except on var zeyeri (always an exception to the rule).
There is a lovely form of this one from Gamtoos Ferry which is grey with farina and darker brown marking which is very compact very striking. But similar habit. Most of this species is rather easily grown and propagated.
Flowers spikes 15 to 25 cm yellow to pink small tubular flowers.
Grows from Eastern cape SA. Graaff-Reinet to Miscraal, Valley of desolation.

*Although all care is taken when packing and handling each plant, these plants can be delicate and some leaves may become detached during transit. These plants are easy to grow though and any dislodged leaves can be easily re-propagated into new plants.
