A hybrid by Jack Catlin. This is the sister sibling to Aeonium Blushing Beauty
Both being hybrids of Aeonium canariense x A. arboreum 'Zwartkop'
Medium upright Aeonium growing to around 60cm high. Aeonium Velour tends to have a more open habit than Blushing Beauty which can often be stout and compact in shape. Can be a light green colour for a lot of the year turning a dark purple/mauve colour when stressed, grown in good light and when becoming dormant towards the start of summer. Can look very similar to Aeonium Blushing Beauty particularly during the growing period over winter.
Easy to grow and look after making a good landscape plant of potted specimen.
