Echeveria agavoides Romeo, is a striking red form of Echeveria agavoides Corderoyi. A mutation that occurred at G Kohres nursery subsequent flowering and pollination's result in seeds with about 30% red 35% pink and the rest green. When popular in Korea dozens of different names have been given to the green and pink, wide leaf and pointy leaf form such as taurus, or pink ebony to increase sales etc. The seeds are highly variable with hundreds of colour combinations. This plant though lovely can die very suddenly in humid and non ventilated areas best kept dry to near death where it gets black tips on its leaves, (this is where it gets its name red and pink Ebony). This plant should be bottom watered,i/e don't get the leaves wet. Lovely but difficult and demanding to keep it going- for the more experienced grower. This plant suits a a 150mm to 200mm pot.
