Orostachys iwarenge var. boehmeri - Variegated Chinese Dunce Cap
Origins: Japan. Growing in woodlands often covered by snow in Winter.
Small rosette forming plant spreading by small offsets.
A beautiful plants when used where the offsets can hang down and droop.
The variegation becomes more prominent once the plant matures.
Within 2-3 of years of growing the main plant will flower in Autumn then die. (Monocarpic)
Within this time though the plant will have produced many small offsets which will begin growing again in spring. (Photo 4)
We generally don't sell this plant over winter as it is going through it dormant stage and doesn't look very nice. (Photo 4)
