Portulacaria afra "Reverse Variegation"
Portulacaria Afra Reverse variegation model is the rarer one of the three variegates.
It has a central yellow line up the centre of the leaf with green on the outer margins. The more well know form has white outer margins and a green inner.
There is also another more unusual form with silk variegation (very fine pale markings all over the leaf).
Reverse variegation is most noteworthy for its bright red stems making it twice as attractive but is a bit slower growing than the others.
May need protection from excessive sun in summer but quiet sun tolerant for a variegate. Try growing it in a 200mm to 250mm pot and will fill out to a stunning specimen although this may take a few years.
